compulsory vaccination

The current quarrels alone show that the idea of compulsory vaccination stemmed from pure populism. Even my worst fears in this regard and already listed here in the weblog have already been exceeded.

Our responsible politicians not only lack the necessary character, but primarily the expertise to create such laws at all and then have them implemented.

So they are now using the discussion about compulsory vaccination at most for their own show, but more likely to harm the competition. It would probably have amazed everyone if they had been concerned with damage limitation or even defense and the well-being of our country.

Rundschreiben

I'll try to summarize the last eventful and decisive days here in Heilbronn - concerning Europe and the EUROPA-UNION, of course - in my monthly newsletter and also to inform you about upcoming events.

Far too much has already been written and said about the mayor election, and it will continue as it has in recent years - anything else would have been a miracle. Oh, how wonderful were the times when we from Heilbronn still shone with new ideas and developments.

European letter

When European regulars' tables contain so much new information, then these regulars' tables also have to be followed up, and so I have more to do today than originally planned. In between there was not only reading aloud at the Dam Elementary School, but also the appearance of the European letter. The good thing about it is that it is now also available in a German language edition.

The first issue of this year's European letter is number 75 and is dedicated to analyzing the justice problem, which has its origins in the conflict between Poland, which is struggling with its authoritarian course, and the European Union, which is trying to promote the values of the rule of law true. I would like to refer to one again here Contribution by Hans Müller.

It is also interesting what other topics are currently occupying the editor of the letter, namely the possibility of major political changes in Europe (certainly a very positive view of current events!).

France, which holds the six-month presidency of the European Union, will close the conference on the future of Europe as Emmanuel Macron focused on re-election as President of the French Republic — who could blame him?

Furthermore, the author notes that there were also important elections in Italy (that of the President of the Republic) and elections in Portugal.

In the east, meanwhile, the crisis in Ukraine threatens to escalate, an escalation that many fear could spiral out of control; and even further east, near Taiwan, the rivalry between China and the US is intensifying.

Against this background, it is nevertheless very important that the letter deals with the conflict between the European Court of Justice and Poland and also tries to make clear what is at stake for us Europeans.

Here you will find the current European Letter …
