Facebook

Suddenly Facebook was gone and briefly reminded us all that such “institutions” are also transient. In order to remind myself of this again and again, I have long since got used to regularly deleting and regenerating my corresponding accounts — which, by the way, always has a kind of cleansing effect.

Those who link their own business model to social media are unlucky. And I dare not even think about what will happen to all the “influencers” when the world keeps turning and social media is regulated, limited, or, even worse, replaced by something else entirely.

In Germany, a billion-dollar fund will probably be set up that, similar to the coal phase-out, will make it easier for the "influencers" to get used to things over a few decades - a "state Facebook processing company" so to speak, with the duty of us citizens to "like" them regularly.

I took this Facebook break as an opportunity to once again generate a corresponding advertising page for my weblog. You can of course find this on Facebook as Kümmerle's weblog [Facebook page deleted].

The actual trigger, however, was because I still had a "like counter" lying around, the clicking of the flips reminding me of airports and thus also vacations when receiving a "like".

So you can now sweeten my day again and again with a "Like".

administrative failure

The incidence in Heilbronn is currently 179,5 (zeit.online) and nobody cares anymore – except for the doctors and nurses who have to bear the consequences. Only Pforzheim should still hold a candle to us - which does not necessarily speak for Heilbronn.

And slowly other citizens of Heilbronn are starting to complain. Just commented today Thomas Zimmerman to the events surrounding the Jörg Ratgeb Square as follows:

“On the one hand, it undermines citizens' trust in the state and local administrations. Second, it sends a signal to people whose behavior massively impacts others that they will not be held accountable for their behavior.”

Voice of Heilbronn (6.10.2021: 25)

And as can be read in the Heilbronn voice, this is no longer an isolated case in Heilbronn. And as has been the norm in recent years, the top management is once again surprised when anyone dares to speak to them about it.

The fact that my better half was hit by an SUV yesterday in the pedestrian zone also goes quite well with these Heilbronn conditions - luckily she got away with it!

If we want to get Heilbronn citizens under control again, then our administration must be made clear that it is there for us citizens!

And especially an up-and-coming city like Heilbronn has to pay special attention to the fact that when recruiting administrative employees, the selection criteria are primarily suitability, performance and ability — and this at all administrative levels.

State XXL

What I forgot to say yesterday, of course, the parties not only fatten up the parliaments, but also the ministries and subordinate administrations [link no longer available] — a form of nepotism and favoritism that is often rumored about in Southeastern Europe. Our judiciary studiously overlooks the fact that this can now also be regarded as criminal.

And since this has obviously been the norm here for a long time at the highest level, it shouldn't come as a surprise if even the smallest mayor has become a self-confessed kleptocrat - at least the municipal council knows what he's up to.
