hegemony

The United Nations was founded in 1945 to prevent future wars. The fact that this did not work and that the UN could never really fulfill its own task was also what most member states wanted - the "war ban" was only a real option for them until shortly after the Second World War.

After the end of the Cold War, only the USA remained, which, as a “hegemon”, was able to compensate for the intended failure of the UN, so to speak, and allowed itself to become involved in military conflicts, sometimes intentionally and sometimes also out of necessity. Now it looks like the US doesn't like it anymore, but probably can't do it anymore. And also “Europe” wants less and less to take part in such conflicts, or now, as a “superstate” (!), once again claim hegemony for itself — this is currently being hotly debated in the EU and also in Germany.

In the meantime, however, it is becoming apparent that China will take over the supremacy from the USA - no matter how German politics decides. China will thus fall prey to intentionally or even under duress interfering in military conflicts that repeatedly arise all over the world because of the United Nations paper tiger.

Regardless of what one thinks of the US and its military interventions, a Chinese version will certainly do far more harm to the world, and certainly end democracy around the world.

Therefore, we should remember the idea and the original goals of the United Nations and give it the necessary decision-making authority and resources that it needs to do so. Because only when the UN has the monopoly on the use of force will there be a world without wars — no matter what we Europeans think or want.

Freie Wähler

Today you can read the current demands of the municipal council faction of the free voters in the Heilbronn voice. I particularly like the fact that I'm not the only one who sees the omission of the football pitch at the Olga Center regret and consider this a big mistake.

Also that you can sense of security many people from Heilbronn and their guests in downtown Heilbronn, I think it's a good initiative; provided this with a cleanliness initiative, hard to beat.

The suggestion to reactivate the festival of lights, to create more social events and to intensify our existing town twinning should even be able to win a majority in the municipal council.

But creating new additional positions in the city administration is absolutely out of place in my opinion. On the contrary, our administration is in urgent need of revision with the aim of making it more efficient and, above all, leaner. And we were just missing an administrative employee who should look over the shoulders of the citizens even more!

Federal Committee

The European level of the European federalists is trying to find itself again. Meanwhile, other European federalists are also coming together more and more. How do you want to unite Europe if you can no longer unite yourself?

Unfortunately, those responsible completely ignore this development, according to the tried and tested motto: "What I don't know doesn't bother me."

United Nations

"As World War II was about to end in 1945, nations were in ruins, and the world wanted peace. Representatives of 50 countries gathered at the United Nations Conference on International Organization in San Francisco, California from April 25 to June 26, 1945. For the next two months, they proceeded to draft and then sign the UN Charter, which created a new international organization, the United Nations, which, it was hoped, would prevent another world war like the one they had just lived through."
