chimneys

Decades ago I had hoped in vain that two nuclear power plants near Heilbronn would replace the coal-fired power plant, but later I had to realize that you can't just get rid of things that you can use to make money - especially when the long-term effects and actual cost someone else pays.

And so it comes as no surprise that our coal-fired power station is still smoking. One can also understand that one continues to stick to the concept of large power plants, since this offers the corresponding corporations the best possible income with the lowest possible effort or even responsibility. So a new gas power plant is only understandable and we can hope that this will be less harmful to health than its predecessors.

What will happen to the chimneys and the superfluous power plants is still in the stars. We are now hoping that the operator will not sell these to us as “historical objects” and that we will ultimately have to finance their species-appropriate and expensive disposal. But they will probably stand around in the area until our grandchildren have no choice but to dispose of them for good. My tip to our grandchildren: the chimneys can remain as a memorial for the complete irresponsibility of your own grandparents!

European regular's table

It makes a difference whether you meet purely virtually or actually on site. This is how the first ones could meet again yesterday European carpenter meet, although I was able to notice that in reality you look a little different than on a screen.

I was particularly pleased that, in addition to the good food, we were able to discuss two topics that could definitely also be taken up in the upcoming federal election campaign.

Street art

Yesterday shortly before 16.00 p.m. in Urbanstrasse, a man attracted attention because he first peed against a tree, against moving cars and then against the windows of a car dealership. His disguise and peeing skills immediately suggest a street artist, especially as he peed around a passerby with a half pirouette and a skilled hip swing, made moving cars happy again, devoted himself to the shop window again, before finally narrowly edging the tree missed.

The duration of its performance would have made every urologist happy, and me because I now have the certainty that such "street art" is not just limited to the north town and the Neckar mile. The only criticism would be that these artists are still banned from performing in the east of Heilbronn and in the Neckar bend; the city administration could be more generous here.

The city administration could also present itself very easily and at the same time very cost-effectively as promoting culture, if they now also have the last public toilets closes. The money saved in this way would then be free to employ additional administrative staff who feel exclusively responsible for the coordination and advertising of Heilbronn street artists.
