Rain

What amazed me years ago was how South African mercenaries were able, with limited materials and resources, to create halls and buildings that are not only able to withstand the weather, but even the heaviest downpours from the halls and keep away from buildings.

Now that I'm up today voice.de was able to read that public buildings, even after a very costly renovation, no longer have to be able to withstand even a little heavy rain, I am even more impressed by the military reconstruction effort in Africa than before and also understand more and more that in our city administrations are calling for the military, when there is a little more work to do.

Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if in the future the Bundeswehr would seal our hall roofs, clear the forest, fields, streets and squares and do their part to make Heilbronn a better place to live for normal citizens - maybe then our soldiers would get the reputation in our society, which they have deserved for a very long time. Perhaps they would no longer have to sacrifice their lives in any corner of the world, completely pointlessly.

book project

More than ten years ago, we at EUROPA-UNION Heilbronn wanted to publish the history of the Heilbronn district association on the occasion of its XNUMXth anniversary. Highly motivated, we started with a small group of active people to find out after the first two years of research that only Hans Müller had the verve to complete such a project.

Due to a lack of participation from our members, we then only published a correspondingly thicker annual brochure of the EUROPA-UNION Heilbronn in 2013, which is now with the other brochures in the archives of the European Union in Florence.

In the course of my work on the "Book Europe is for everyone!" I kept thinking back to our old project and have now decided to publish the history of the EUROPA-UNION Heilbronn in its entirety as a book. Now I'm curious to see how long it will take me to do this.

Independence Day

I look back with pleasure on those days when I was able to celebrate Independence Day with friends in the USA. It was especially the parties organized by the citizens themselves that surpassed everything else that was offered that day. And if there were also citizens among them who had just returned safely from operations, there was no stopping anyone involved.

In our country, citizens who are still willing to protect our country - no matter why or where - have to sneak away from the missions on the sly and be content if they are not greeted by hate tirades from third-class representatives or stone-throwing self-proclaimed peace activists.
