Everyday life

I was able to send the monthly circulars to the various mailing lists. And I already got the first answers and feedback. Reading aloud at the Dammgrundschule and supervising my homework at meseno continue to be a lot of fun. The trips with the meseno bus are a nice change.

Interesting conversations with Herbert Burkhardt, Steffen Schoch and Detlef Stern spice up my everyday life and give hope that there will be more exciting opportunities this year. I will soon be able to devote myself to a completely new activity in this regard - I'm curious to see how this can be integrated into my everyday life.

Dancing is now part of it and even swimming sometimes works out again. And thanks Detlef Stern my lectures are also becoming almost everyday. If the students get a little more involved now, this semester could be a nice finish.

parking management zone

Last year I was able to acknowledge that I probably live in such a zone when I suddenly found a warning of 20 euros on my vehicle in Werderstrasse. The reason for the warning was not that I had parked incorrectly, but that some parking spaces on Werderstrasse had been specially marked shortly beforehand and my parking space had no such marking.

Then, last November, I found it quite by accident a new sign on Uhlandstrasse, which confirmed my suspicion for the first time. However, checking the corresponding city website did not confirm this assumption, because to this day neither Uhlandstrasse nor Werderstrasse belong to any of the parking space management zones listed there.

In recent months, however, my neighbors have repeatedly reported that they have met employees of the public order office who still assumed that such a zone existed. I continued to take this sportively and always tried to park my car within the specially marked areas.

And until March 31, 2023, this was not a problem either. But now I got another 20 euro warning, this time on the grounds that I was parking in the parking zone (314.11, 314.2).

In fact, a few questions arise. Firstly, when will the residents of Werderstrasse be informed by the city that they live in a parking space management zone? Second, where can we find this zone on the city website? And thirdly, where do we get the necessary parking permits that are valid for this zone?

So far I have actually seen parking permits on vehicles in Werderstraße and its neighboring streets, which were valid for parking space management zones in the core and northern city.

Without a doubt, I think it's good when the city operates parking space management. But this must also be transparent and understandable for us citizens. A very obviously arbitrary and probably also purely coincidental punishment of citizens is not very professional and only shows how badly our city administration is set up in the meantime.

I do not accept the objection that the city does not have the time or means to inform its citizens, because I receive advertising letters from the city administration for e.g. B. Internet companies or district celebrations just so overwhelmed and there are also city employees who are sent through our district for surveys, which I cannot understand.
