Pets
Pets are a good thing, especially if you have young children of your own. I also had a whole range of pets, from dogs to guinea pigs, budgerigars, turtles of all kinds, ornamental fish and back to dogs.
And if you take responsibility for a pet as a child, it has a very positive effect on you personally. You also learn that this takes a lot of your own time, no matter what kind of pet you choose. You also learn that a pet binds you for years and you have to limit yourself accordingly.
So, unsurprisingly, the news at the start of COVID-19 was that many more people were becoming interested in pets than usual. At the same time, this news was alarming, because it could be assumed that these newly acquired animals would live longer than the pandemic lasted. Reports that more and more pets are being found abandoned will not come as a surprise, especially when traveling and vacationing is increasing again.
What do we learn from this? We learn nothing from it.
Timing
Today's city tour started after a short rain and ended with the first drops of an even shorter shower, that's what I call good timing. Due to the speed, only a brief observation: if you are already on the road in Heilbronn as a "person of order", you should not use your "working hours" for private purposes. We citizens have the right to our employees doing their jobs in the best possible way and not just serving their time as comfortably as possible!

The award ceremonies that my better half and I are allowed to hold annually as part of the European competition have also become a tradition. Initially with a central event with hundreds of participants in Heilbronn, it is now more of a family event at the respective award-winning schools on site. So also today at the Elementary school in Bad Rappenau.
site of the day
Originally a French idea, the European competition soon spread throughout Germany and is now an institution throughout Germany. From the beginning, this competition was accompanied and promoted by the EUROPA-UNION, also in Heilbronn.
