Transparency

Right now you can read a lot about political honorary posts. It is very interesting that many fellow citizens still assume that these voluntary activities are carried out solely for the sake of honour, and that the relevant officials even allow themselves to pay for this honorary post. Just like most citizens who do voluntary work and console themselves with the fact that a hobby has always been an expensive affair, no matter which hobby horse you ride yourself.

Every democracy thrives on transparency and so it is now really high time to start disclosing the monetary and other advantages that are bestowed on the relevant office holders, especially in the case of political honorary posts - especially since this is our tax money acts.

So it is actually more than a matter of course that every local council discloses how much attendance fees and other expense allowances they receive each month. In addition, what other benefits are granted to him by the city and other institutions. He would also have to specify which supervisory board or advisory functions as well as other tasks, such as: B. lecturer positions, are awarded to him as a local councilor, including the money received. There must also be no question that it is always stated when the city or its associated institutions provide a municipal council, e.g. B. Award building sites. And last but not least, it must be made public if relatives of the first and second degrees of a local councilor are employed or even become new employees in the city administration or at city companies or institutions.

It is very important for every decision that the citizen is aware of the context in advance, especially since the disclosure of the facts stated above could be made without major problems.

The added attraction is that when citizens realize how much one can earn from and with political volunteering, it will then certainly be easier for all parties and groups of voters to find suitable candidates. A win-win situation for all of us!

railway area

Even we residents of Heilbronn have long since gotten used to the fact that the entire railway area in Böckingen is not a feast for the eyes. The drivable part is apparently only a great evil for the railways, and they are probably waiting to be allowed to dismantle the last rails. Residents from the immediate and probably also further environment have been using the area for a little longer and are very happy to dispose of waste.

However, our city has to be credited with the fact that it has upgraded at least the street section very nicely with the sun fountain; In the meantime, the users of the underpass should have gotten used to the unusual incline.

And the appearance of the listed railway infrastructure and buildings there has always and will continue to leave a lot to be desired. Since it is a club area and I was always able to observe hobbyists doing their activities of whatever kind during my walks, this is a completely justifiable thing.

So today I was able to learn from the voice of Heilbronn that there are actually two associations involved, namely the Southern German Railway Museum Heilbronn (SEH) and the Historical Steam Express Association (UEF). Although I don't know anymore which of the two clubs builds the nice little HO facility in the Harmonie every year.

Since both clubs are interested in the railways, both clubs come from the same district, both clubs are based on the same site, and both clubs, like most other clubs, will probably have problems attracting and inspiring new members , it is very interesting to read that their representatives are not so green.

What could railway enthusiasts achieve if they sat on the same train?

flash of inspiration

In Heilbronn, the SPD is now the party of the bourgeoisie, and the CDU is its petit-bourgeois appendage.
