Yesterday my better half and I were able to dance once again. We were very pleased that we were able to get a few more dancers to come to the European Ball in May. This morning we were on the meseno bus again, which took a little longer this time.
It is also gratifying that Detlef Stern It is comforting; he is much more hardened than I am when it comes to today's students. And so my preparations for Tuesday are almost complete - towards the evening I check the university email again just to make sure that I haven't missed any new attempts by the seminarians.
At the same time, preparations are underway for the 71st district assembly of the EUROPA-UNION. When it comes to choosing a room, I am now assuming that the number of registrations will be limited. I am slowly becoming more and more familiar with the behavior of Captain Renault (Claude rains) befriend: “Round up the usual suspects!”

Imagine there is a referendum here and hardly anyone knows about it!
Today my better half and I signed the referendum to reduce the size of the state parliamentwhich, if it is actually implemented, can only ensure that our state parliament is not also turned into a "monster parliament", which will also cost us a lot of money.
When we signed our names, although I have to admit that the whole thing is handled very professionally in Heilbronn, if not very democratically - which is not surprising when you continue to be greeted by a Nazi when you enter the town hall - we were among the first to sign. Citizens who refuse to sign here should not complain later about further tax increases or an incapable state parliament!
Anyone who would like to cast their vote can do so easily in Room 167 (Citizens' Office, Elections, Central Services) with Mr. Frey in Heilbronn City Hall; by the way, he is a very friendly and courteous city employee. Voting is possible during normal opening hours: Monday to Thursday from 14.00 p.m. to 16.00 p.m., Monday from 7.30:12.30 a.m. to 8.30:12.30 p.m. and Tuesday to Friday from XNUMX:XNUMX a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.
It will certainly not be due to the opening hours if we citizens have not cast our vote by December 10, 2024. It is more likely due to the fact that most municipalities, such as Heilbronn, hardly or not at all inform their citizens about the possibility of voting - and this is a major shortcoming, at least in their own understanding of democracy.
The funny thing is that it is precisely those citizens who are completely indifferent to such referendums who cry out for direct democracy at every opportunity.
Start of the week
What a start to the week! Ursula Gries managed to get me a Harris-Waltz cap before the end of the campaign, including a donation to the US Democrats for the most important election campaign of recent years. And in contrast to Trump merchandise, this hat was not made in China, but in the USA.
Hans Müller has summed up the last weeks of the election campaign in his fourth part, “An American Tragedy”. You can find this work together with the first three parts in the forum. I am also following the US election campaign and am amazed at how many participants Kamala Harris to her campaign appearances; there are said to be up to 30 supporters who spare no expense or effort to show their support for the two Democratic candidates. Shocking, as well as Donald Trump continue to gather masses of evil people, most recently in Madison Square Garden, where the political scum and, in addition, together with Elon Musk to a memorial event for the “Nazi rally at Madison Square Garden“ (20 February 1939).
And so it was not surprising that the previous speakers from Donald Trump and Elon Musk against “subhumans” and wanted to slaughter their political opponents — in any case, the audience cheered with all their heart, as they had in 1939. Back then, there were more than 20 self-proclaimed Aryans. I cannot say how many there were on Sunday. After Donald Trump Certainly hundreds of thousands, which is necessary because he wants to have the votes of at least 100 million real Americans on election day — the rest will simply be slaughtered afterwards; and if the US military runs out of ammunition, there are certainly willing German chemical companies that will be happy to help.
The only thing that is even more exciting is the price at which the companies are offering their products during the GOP election campaign — usually special offers at $14,88 (example: all-white pillow set). And that actually means nothing other than "14" for the 14 words of the neo-Nazis: "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children." and the "88" that we already know well: "Heil Hitler!" — and anyone who thinks that this is just a coincidence will certainly also be offered a Tesla special edition for 14,88 euros, with a choice of a swastika or a Soviet star in the radiator grille. Elon Musk had a factory specially built in Grünheide. VW has already recognized this and is willingly making way for the new "Volkswagen" by closing the first of its factories in Germany.
The start of the week was nevertheless very promising, because Dan Schaffer sent one of his Ohio State University Marching Band videos. If you look closely, you can see again that neither Donald Trump or Kamala Harris can motivate such masses as even medium-sized sporting events can do without much effort. Unfortunately, the average citizen is simply not a zoon politikon and is difficult to motivate for political events - with the exception of book and witch burnings.
For us responsible citizens, this means that we simply have to get all of our fellow citizens to the ballot box, especially those who simply do not want to be anti-democrats. And so until November 5, 2024, we can only hope that all US idiots will once again be housed in Madison Square Garden, as they were in 1939.
And even for this I found a suitable poem, namely one by Charles Bukowski, which I have since Donald Trump as a politician, I appreciate more and more.
Democracy (2008: 216)
the problem, of course, isn't the democratic system,
it's the
living parts which make up the democratic system.
the next person you pass on the street,
multiply
him or
her by
3 or 4 or 40 million
and you will know
Immediately
why things remain non-functional
for most of
us.I wish I had a cure for the chess pieces
we call Humanity …we've undergone any number of politics
curesand we all remain
foolish enough to hope
that the one on the way
NOW
will cure almost
everything.fellow citizens,
the problem never was the democracy
System, the problem isyou.
We were also in room 167 yesterday morning and can only confirm what has been said here.
