New book

The time has finally come and you can now read my book about Europe in an English language version obtain. I hope that this will expand the relevant discussions a bit.

And who has already read the book in German and z. B. is still looking for a good present for his foreign friends for Christmas, I can recommend this book with a clear conscience; preferably as a bound edition.

It's almost unbearable how many unwanted e-mails end up in one's own mailbox. The corresponding cancellations from the various newsletter or e-mail distribution lists also take a lot of time.

Hardly any of the senders think about how they unnecessarily burden fellow citizens with their e-mails - myself included!

But when it comes to companies that rob others of their time just for their own profit motive, you have to be able to set different standards. That's why there are data protection officers.

I have now contacted the data protection officer and reported such a company, which wrote to me against my request and without my consent.

And suddenly I get a call from the affected company owner that, because of COVID-19 and the special situation, I should understand as a citizen. Ok, ok, I understand the situation of all companies in the world - including the one affected.

But do the companies of this world understand how much lifetime it costs me to keep my e-mail inboxes clean by myself?

There was good news today. During the renovation of the "traffic artery between Klingenberg and Böckingen" empty pipes were also laid so that "after a short time the road surface [does not] have to be torn open again."

That's a good idea, and you might ask yourself why you haven't done something like this longer or more often.
