Jahrestag

Actually, since Stalin, the Russians had never really stopped murdering and raping at will. And now they've come along Vladimir Putin also found a worthy successor who also harmoniously brought together Stalinism and fascism. For a year now, even the most ignorant politician has been aware that this evil activity must finally be stopped; the West's policy of appeasement, which has lasted for decades, has failed horribly, as it did with Hitler.

And so today I made a pilgrimage to the market square to see the announced event in support of Ukraine. At first I was very positive about the European flags, but then I became aware of the counter-demonstration of well-known Stalinists, who showed their support without any inhibition or shame at the people of Heilbronn Vladimir Putins whimpered. This mendacious "peace demonstration" was and is an insult to all victims of terror and violence.

So that I can think better, I ended the evening with a practice dance evening.

coffee

Today I had the pleasure of that Detlef Stern came over for a cup of coffee. Actually, the Zettelkasten would have been a good topic, but for a while it was about university and education policy. And somehow we got stuck on the subject of "High Fidelity", whereby one or the other record ended up on the turntable. For me, the sad conclusion is that my loudspeakers from the 1980s clearly didn’t survive my two sons’ childhood and, even worse, I probably haven’t been able to hear them myself for a very long time — which, by the way, my better half hasn’t told me until now . And so I guess I keep putting on very good records and reminiscing about it.

In addition, I now know how and why my little music server keeps playing music into my music system. In any case, I'll have to think about what technology I'm actually going to keep when I get a chance - maybe it's enough if I just put the records on the turntable and see how they turn there, because then I can do them Discard amplifier and speakers.

Finally, we came to talk about the topic of weblog and social media, the Zettelstore and future Zettelkasten rounds. In doing so gave me Detlef Stern I have another idea for this weblog and something to think about as to how I can best implement it.

realism

Some things just don't work in Heilbronn, such as B. your own university, a large event hall or a stadium, be it for football or even ice hockey. Not to mention a contemporary railway connection or a modern port. And so I'm no longer thinking about a market hall, because if this is ever to be built in Heilbronn, then it will be more of a drinking place. Nothing against drinking rooms and similar institutions, but there are certainly other things to make a city or a market hall attractive. In the last few years I have looked at Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Budapest here on the weblog. And also very good memories of the covered markets in Paris and Brussels.

It is therefore not surprising that the Ludwigsburg Society for Market Research now comes to the conclusion that "at the current time a market hall concept is not marketable". And so even the mayor can calmly show himself open to a market hall (Heilbronner Stadtzeitung, February 22.2.2023, 5: XNUMX).

Unfortunately, I have to admit to myself that, as mentioned above, there are things that Heilbronn is simply too small for. But at least the decisive Heilbronners are standing — Dieter schwarz except once — critical of everything that would actually make Heilbronn a big city; apart from signs and press releases.

And so it would be urgently necessary if we really want to make Heilbronn a big city, that we finally start and professionalize our city administration, but at least raise it qualitatively to the level of a big city - quantitatively we have already done this a long time ago! And first and foremost, we finally need four mayors who, on the one hand, understand something about the administration and management of a large city and, on the other hand, are actually interested in what they do.

That's why I'm also very surprised that a proven professional like Dieter schwarz Sunk hundreds of millions of euros into our city, but at the same time allows the set screws necessary for urban development — our mayors — to only revolve around themselves. You could even celebrate this as a victory for democracy if you didn't know that he at least bought the OB himself.

Two-Factor Authentication

You can find a related post here from Brian X Chen from the New York Times (February 23.2.2023, XNUMX), which I have released for my Webog readers.

I have now secured my Twitter account with the Microsoft Authenticator and am now thinking about getting a security key privately, because that would be a gadget that I always wanted to have for myself. When I have this, there will probably be an entry in this regard soon in my forum again.
