half truth

As chairman of the Free Voters, I was asked to comment on a letter to the editor that the chairman of the Bündnis90/Die Grünen parliamentary group, Holger Kimmerle, in the Heilbronner Voice (October 22.10.2022, 10: XNUMX) recently wrote. Probably still shocked that his parliamentary group quite rightly recently had to give up a supervisory board post, for which he obviously blames us free voters, he has probably given himself some breathing space with this letter to the editor.

So he writes under the heading "collecting basin" that the Free Voters' Association - the Association of Free Voters Heilbronn - "[became] a collecting basin with former members from the CDU, SPD, AfD and Left Party." That is not even half the truth , because he deliberately does not write about the fact that of the 40 Heilbronn municipal councils, only two are still free voters today, but there are still two renegade former free voters municipal councils, of whom nobody can say where they will soon be, and — this was from Holger Kimmerle deliberately omitted — three other local councilors are former Free Voters, two of whom are now in a state-supporting party and one in a less friendly party.

Worse still, he accuses us Free Voters of being a melting pot of anti-democrats. And this is absolutely untrue - in German a very big lie! The of Holger Kimmerle The people who were deliberately put forward left the Free Voters long before I took office as Chairman of the Free Voters, so that I can say with full and firm conviction that all members of the Free Voters in Heilbronn have both feet on the ground stand by our free-democratic basic order; and I know all our members personally.

If this Holger Kimmerle can claim from "his" party or even parliamentary group, I strongly doubt it!

Also confused Holger Kimmerle in his letter to the editor district advisory councils and municipal councils and then not only draws a completely wrong conclusion from it, but also presumes to call our honorary chairman and long-time municipal council member, Heiner Dornerto want to teach.

What do you do as a Heilbronn municipal councilor when you see your own livelihood at risk — this has now become a tradition for the Heilbronn Greens and shows what it is all about. And that's a pity!

Home & Living

After several years of stagnation, it is once again becoming apparent that, so shortly before the start of the coming municipal council elections in 2024, a topic will be very topical again - and every municipal council will again have something to say about it. And that's no wonder, because the housing shortage has been an issue for us for a long time, and why should the municipal council want to change that at all?

On May 24, 2019, based on my own experiences during the election campaign, I had one corresponding contribution written, hoping that at least this time - in the period from 2019 to 2024 - our local councils will be so smart and responsible that it will at least not be such an urgent issue for the next election campaign.

"In the coming election campaign, I no longer want to have to argue about whether and why there is a shortage of living space or who is to blame for the whole misery, but about how we can best and quickly achieve our jointly defined targets."

Heinrich Kümmerle, May 24.5.2019, XNUMX

And so I am a little pleased that the Heilbronner Voice (October 24.10.2022th, 1: XNUMX) is now beginning to think a little more about the problem and its editors are beginning to question the facts from different perspectives.

Just imagine if the mayor had already created a project group together with the municipal council in 2019, which would face the challenges and develop a coordinated concept - we would already be a whole step further today.

dancing and more

This weekend I was able to hit the dance floor twice. And as I was able to find out, not even at an "Oktoberfest", because this term is probably now legally protected. But that didn't take away my desire to dance; I was only briefly surprised at the current excesses of a judicial system that is probably becoming increasingly neglected. It also fits that more and more law firms are only making a living by ripping off innocent fellow citizens for the most irrelevant reasons, and their colleagues, as elected representatives of the people, are also creating the legal prerequisites for this.

provided another highlight Detlef Stern, who not only took the Zettelstore to new heights, but also reminded me that you can only really do something if you have taught it at least once — which incidentally confirms a basic principle of all military training.

And so I'm now facing a whole new challenge and I'm curious to see how I'll do.

  • This is possibly not a rip-off at all, but serves as a necessary supply measure. In the stuck Munich environment there are definitely still cases of real need.
