transience

I've used the same tool to store and manage all my passwords since my Palm IIIc days. So today I am not only very surprised, but also quite hard that this tool is being discontinued because it is now unprofitable.

At least there should still be enough time for me to choose a new tool. It will probably be far more difficult to sift through all the passwords that have accumulated over the decades and at least to transfer the ones that are still needed. The whole thing is now very inconvenient and will cost me a lot of my reserve times.

So I am very happy that a weblog reader just bought me a coffee. Perhaps he has had a similar experience and is now planning something, because unfortunately even a weblog does not exist for free.

Vorbereitungen

Not only is there another very interesting EUROPA-UNION event tonight, this time it's all about finances, but there's also a lot going on during Europe Week. All of this needs to be prepared and so the coming days will be enriched with a few meetings.

I am particularly pleased about a cooperation with the city library. There we can exhibit the respective competition posters for the first time in the history of the European competition. And at the beginning of the exhibition there is a vernissage with an award ceremony for the current competition.

And even a holiday needs to be prepared these days. The times when you could just hop on a plane and start your vacation are definitely over. Now there are tons of forms to be filled out and all the necessary evidence to be provided, and this is always associated with the risk that you can cancel your vacation entirely because of a positive PCR test.

But holidays have always been a completely overrated thing, because "high performers" have to work until they drop and then die off as quickly and cheaply as possible. This is the only way we can keep our welfare state alive.

pedestrian zone

Our Heilbronn pedestrian zones are becoming more and more of an Eldorado for the inconsiderate. You can get used to the garbage and feces, but as you get older it becomes more and more difficult to avoid the motorized contemporaries. You can still see the trucks quite well, and some drivers also slow down when they pass you. Taxis, which are known to be in a hurry, and private cars, for which there is no shortcut through the pedestrian zone at lower speeds, are different would be worth more.

And for those Heilbronn residents who maintain good relations with the "ruling class" in Heilbronn, free parking spaces in the pedestrian zone have already become a kind of status symbol, whether right in front of the Kilianskirche, in front of the unofficial government headquarters or directly at the entrance to the city baths.

However, the greatest danger for older people comes from the bicycles, because you can hardly hear them and see them very late. It doesn't help if you get hit from behind again, that the cyclist complains and even blames you for ringing the bell — I just can't hear it anymore and I can't see behind me either.

In the meantime, the behavior of the city administration in Heilbronn probably already fulfills the offense of intentional bodily harm.
