The lights are currently going out in Cuba and socialism is once again showing its best side, but that doesn't stop us from indulging in Stalinism in Baden-Württemberg by founding a BSW - the main thing is to be against the USA, capitalism and everything democratic!
It's a good thing that Putin paid a lot of Moldovans to vote against the EU. If we're lucky, we won't have to feed another 2,5 million anti-democrats in the future. It would be better if we gave the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine and let them clean up a bit there.

federal congress
This year's 67th federal congress took place in the Ländle for the first time in years and in Stuttgart at that. I was able to use the travel time I saved for my own projects.
After the 54th Federal Congress, which took place in Saarbrücken in 2008 and which I remember very fondly, this was probably the best Federal Congress in two decades, which is probably due to the setting and the support on site. In any case, the entire Congress was friendly and all discussions - including some with major implications within the association - took place without any major turbulence.
It's just a shame that hardly any political celebrities attend the federal congresses anymore. It used to be very different. At least there was a video greeting from the Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg. The highlight in the evening was the humorous speech by the Mayor of Stuttgart. And traditionally, a few federalists ended the evening in a bar.

This is why soldiers are often poorly fed or not fed at all in order to maintain their aggressiveness and desire to attack. And this is why it is particularly important to ensure that there is more than enough food and drink during democratic processes so that everyone involved can concentrate on the essential points in a calm mood.

In the last few days I've deleted all of my remaining social media accounts (Bluesky and Mastodon) except for Linkedin. Instead, I'm now playing more with my Daft account. Daft Social calls itself "The Anti-Social Social Network for Minimalists". If you want to check it out, you can find my most recent posts on the homepage of this blog.
And while I was tinkering, one or two problems from the seminar students trickled in; I'll have to look into whether it's a suitable problem soon. Another exciting thing was one student trying to write a seminar paper for me without taking part in the seminar himself.
But others are also busy tinkering. ESA recently a video published, which will cover the first 1% of the “Cosmic Vision 2015–2025“. On July 28, 2023, the Euclid space telescope reached its deployment site, the second Lagrange point in the Earth-Sun system. The telescope is expected to explore space for at least six years, surveying more than a third of the entire sky and providing insights into suspected dark energy and dark matter.
