Chess
Certainly one of the nicest minor things of all, and for some fellow citizens a very serious matter. It's always been a nice pastime for me, which unfortunately I've never been able to live out in a club. So on the one hand I'm looking forward to being able to compete with club players from time to time, although I've regularly lost in the final at the latest, and on the other hand over one Video training site, which I have been using for a while and can recommend to everyone without any ifs or buts.
Mato Jelic always presents new and especially older, but always very interesting chess games. So I'm picking it up Mato Jelics Chess School always happy to go back.
I wish all chess players entertaining games, whether against a real player or even against a chess program.

Since I've always enjoyed writing, it was inevitable that my better half would always suggest that, in addition to non-fiction books, articles or opinions, I should also put something sensible on paper, such as a children's book or a novel.
So I've now decided to try my own novel before I dare to write a children's book.
I quickly realized that writing fiction has to involve a completely different way of thinking. I, at least, find it difficult to reconcile everyday things that I put down on paper, for example here on the weblog, in letters or e-mail, with the ideas and considerations for a novel plot. I can still work on multiple articles at the same time, but I'm not able to go from a weblog post to a novel page and back again.
Also, I'm not ready yet to disconnect from the internet for a while and go into a retreat, which would probably be necessary to be able to really immerse myself in my own novel world.
But maybe there are one or two readers of my weblog who have already had similar experiences and could give me a few tips.

Today I was allowed to start in two classes "my old" elementary school read out. Once again a very gratifying thing. And it's always nice to see how the little children develop.
For the first time I was able to watch a kind of "greeting ceremony" in a class, which has been common in American schools for a few years, and I have to admit that it also fits in with us quite well. I didn't like the fact that adults now want to smuggle in to my "lectures" — I can still feel it.
In the follow-up to "man reads“, we adults got back to talking about the infrastructure, which has actually improved at the Dammschule. Unfortunately, however, it is once again only a half thing, because in future the elementary school students are actually to be banished to the smaller of the two schoolyards.
My argument that the younger pupils, especially these days, urgently need more exercise than the secondary school pupils, who mostly just hang on to their mobile phones and otherwise don't feel such a great urge to move, is understood by all teachers and pupils, unfortunately not from the responsible authorities.
Their argument is more valid: firstly, we have always done it this way and secondly, it has always been this way.
Unfortunately, or thank God, whichever way you choose to look at it, I've reached an age to say to these professionals: no, it hasn't always been this way, and again, no, we haven't always done it this way either.
The manslaughter argument follows immediately: then that's the way it is now!
And so, in the future, elementary school students will be more cooped up than ever before, and a few city officials will have less work to do.
