Exciting start to the week

The Australian government rightly expelled a tennis player from the country. However, the Australians should be given a more detailed explanation of how he was able to enter the country in the first place. And the first reactions from Serbia, the home country of this tennis player, show quite well why Serbia is better not yet part of the European Union.

At least one SPD bigwig thinks that not only should the town twinning with Russia be promoted, but that the Russian Federation should even be given further advances: “If I had something to say, I would think twice about finally making an offer to Russia power to become a member of the European Union in order to win over a very great force for peace and freedom" (Til Backhaus in the Ostsee-Zeitung) — With such a crude understanding of democracy, it should come as no surprise to anyone that this party, despite the chancellor bonus, the members continue to flee in droves.

As things stand, however, the “flawless” democrat now believes Vladimir Putinthat not only can he bring Ukraine home to the Reich, but that the other former vassals of the Soviet Empire will also be happy to welcome him. And some of our members of the Bundestag, from the left to the AfD, already make regular pilgrimages to the Commonwealth of Independent States - certainly not just to be paid for consulting services.

Adding to all the troubles Joe Biden in increasingly difficult waters, and Kamala Harris obviously doesn't help him much. That's how it works Donald Trump hopes again.

And in Italy it has Silvio Berlusconi now quite obviously recovered from his last bunga bunga party and is now available as president. Seen in this way, we Germans are still quite well positioned with our President — qualifications or not.

The Chinese are now panicking about COVID-19 — not because of the possible victims, but simply because of the Winter Games. So they will probably have postponed the invasion of Taiwan a bit.

The rulers in Qatar do not have such problems, they will be able to hold the football World Cup even if our world is completely in ruins by the end of the year. The German Football Association will take care of that - whether unvaccinated, vaccinated or whatever.

Through the ceiling

Nicht nur die Test centers are springing up like mushrooms, but also the infections are going through the roof again - on Sunday the incidence in the Heilbronn district was 643,7 (!). Actually, it is no longer surprising, because the reasons for this have not only been mentioned on this weblog more than once.

And so I am pleased that today the Heilbronner Voice (January 17.01.2022, 27: XNUMX) writes under the heading "Everything that goes wrong in test centers": "Application instructions for the tests are often not followed." or "Srandom sample in the city shows numerous deficiencies.”

This unspeakable situation in Heilbronn is mainly homemade, since from the beginning an absolute weakness in leadership coupled with complete ignorance determine the actions of our administration. Unfortunately, our municipal council is not of much help and continues to set the wrong priorities.

So we Heilbronn will have to live with COVID-19 a lot longer than predicted. Which, by the way, also unnecessarily increases the costs to society as a whole — not to mention the human lives that end too soon. In order to get this problem halfway under control, those responsible should be held liable and recourse should be taken - and then not only those who enrich themselves with our taxpayers' money through false tests!

Europe ball

It was already decided last year that the EUROPA-UNION Heilbronn would like to organize its own ball again after a few decades of abstinence. In a meeting this weekend, it was also agreed that the Europe ball will also have its own supporting program on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

This supporting program begins on Friday with a European broom evening, offers a city tour with lunch together on Saturday and concludes with a European brunch on Sunday.

The supporting program should also appeal to ball guests who are traveling to Heilbronn especially for the Europa Ball. And, in order to make all ball guests feel as safe as possible, all ball participants, whether they are involved in the organization or just a visitor, must show a daily updated COVID-19 test. The Brenner Dance School, co-organizer of the Europa Ball, offers an additional test opportunity on the afternoon of the ball - this is a good opportunity, especially for guests from outside, to get such a test.
