To make it clear again, since 1958 there has only been in Heilbronn can Free voters, who, however, initially came together in so-called free voter associations across the country, including here in Heilbronn.

Since this name was too cumbersome and is still used in the media to this day as Freie Wahler, our state association decided a long time ago to simply rename itself Freie Wahler Baden-Württemberg. All independent voter associations in Baden-Württemberg have followed and are slowly following this approach, and we in Heilbronn have also been in the process of preparing a corresponding renaming for some time — as an association and since we also want to revamp our statutes, it just takes a little longer.

In the meantime, a few of our members have left the association overnight and, contrary to all reason and decency, now claim the name Freie Wahler Heilbronn for themselves. We free voters simply cannot and will not put up with that! We wouldn't mind if these seven renegades tried their luck as “free citizens” or “independent voters”, but like it or not we have to fight for our good name.

Unfortunately, even citizens or journalists who are at home in local politics do not understand this or they simply do not want to understand it and are now very happy to distinguish between Freie Wahler Heilbronn and Freie Wahlervereinigung Heilbronn. In Heilbronn there are still only the free voters of the Freie Wahlervereinigung Heilbronn e. V. — and I am its new chairman.

I particularly enjoyed leafing through today's Heilbronner Voice because I found, among other things, an application for the Hertenstein Talks. Thanks to the editors for the recording!

Originally I had this gadget before tried in the spring. Well, in the course of my recent crafting campaign, I rediscovered it and reactivated it. Now I'm curious to see if some of my readers will actually use it.
