Loose cannon

We've gotten used to the fact that our Easter marchers are nothing more than propagandists of Soviet Communism. However, we still have to get used to the fact that European politicians have also quite obviously lost their minds.

After the French Gröfaz Charles de Gaulle there is now a worthy successor who also has the same size Napoleon Bonaparte can keep up, viz Emmanuel Macron. All three agree that France is, or at least has to become, the only Grande Nation in the world. Only the People's Republic of China does Macron ascribe a similar role to, although the USA will have to take a long step back in the future - at least according to the conviction of our French friends.

And no, this is not something completely new that we are now all of a sudden surprised by, but this has been the French agenda for years, which until recently — and even today! — was also shared by many German politicians; just as they enforced a hasty phase-out of nuclear power or completely ruined the Bundeswehr for decades. As late as 2021, “open strategic autonomy” was the panacea in all major parties. Christian Moss already has this in November 2021 criticized here on this weblog.

But now is Emmanuel Macron completely insane and is thus preparing the ground for a US withdrawal from Europe — a possible new (old) Republican US president will certainly use this as a template in 2024. If the French believe that this will give them a leading role in Europe, whether with Russian or Chinese help, they will be wrong again this time. Not a single country in Europe is big enough to be really big, and certainly not France!

The only thing Macron has now achieved is that after 2008 Ukraine's fate was sealed again for years to come. The US should now focus on Taiwan, Japan and Korea and leave the Russian Federation to Europe (for now) - all Easter marchers can be content if everything goes on as it is now, then they can finally breathe out their old age peacefully under Soviet Communism.

Forum & Posts

I'm always happy when someone uses the blog forum. peter schulze yesterday the discussion there on the topic "A European Defense Union' enriched with another answer and at the same time supplemented with two interesting documents to download. However, these documents can only be viewed and, if necessary, downloaded by registered forum users.

I was also happy about an article from yesterday Oliver Wall in the New York Times, which goes quite well with my blog post "thoughts' and is titled 'Can Intelligence Be Separated From the Body?' I linked this article there as an addendum, from where readers of the blog can access this article free of charge.

wheelhouse

The Heilbronn parties can publish one press photo after the other, it doesn't change the fact that the wheel house at the train station is a completely overpriced bad investment that will cost us citizens very, very much until it is demolished - which will come at some point. Irrespective of the question of what could not have been done with this wasted money, I chatted with yesterday Detlef Stern about what else could be done about this misery?

All those who are actually dependent on bicycles and the station continue to park their bikes around the station; there are also other electrically operated scooters (E-Scooter) of any kind.

And what could you do with the wheelhouse? Our idea would be to expand this into a bike and possibly scooter rental. Then there would be more than 120 Parking spaces for bicycles would not be empty, but would be equipped with rental companions, which could then be borrowed by travelers arriving by train — perhaps even from the departure station.

But that doesn't solve the problem of the many bicycles that are actually used in front of the station. More parking spaces, at least covered ones, will have to follow here one day. The Experimenta car park has shown that something like this can also work in Heilbronn.

And should Heilbronn one day get a fully-fledged bus station next to our main train station, an underground car park for bicycles could be integrated there, as in other larger cities, which would then be suitable for several hundred bicycles.

    • Comparing the NPD with the CDU is a bit far-fetched. And the need to put everyone who has something against totalitarian forces, especially against a fifth column, in a "right-wing corner" is definitely pathological; for Putin even Jews are now Nazis.
