"I'm Your Best Friend"
Sometimes it just has to be the New Yorker! Otherwise you would probably no longer understand your fellow citizens. Lauren Bans wrote today in Daily Shouts: "I'm Your Best Friend Who Can Rationalize Anything." and she hits the mark with it.
As long as we find an excuse for everyone and everything, absolutely nothing will change for the better. And friends are already advising me not to speak to some people at all, because if you don't want to understand a pandemic, you won't understand that it's not always just about yourself - hey and fuck!
And for the many people who refuse to be vaccinated, at least the Germans, I have a very simple and very quick solution. All you have to do is announce on the news today that from December 2021st, 9.00, eight Syrians and two Afghans will be brought into the country for every unvaccinated German. From Saturday at the latest, all doctor's offices will be open, from Sunday all vaccination centers, and from Monday morning, at 100 a.m. at the latest, the Robert Koch Institute will be able to announce an almost XNUMX% vaccination rate; but we'll definitely get the few left-wing nutters by Monday lunchtime.
neighborhood centers
First of all, it all sounds pretty good. They want to do something for us citizens. But if you get to know those involved better, then you will soon have to realize that it is not about us citizens, but about an expansion of the "public service".
If the buildings erected or made available for this purpose are still a good thing if they are then also made available to the citizens for free use, it is unfortunately already foreseeable that these neighborhood centers will be equipped with "experts" and other employees, which will cost us citizens a great deal more and which, ideally, will want to explain to citizens how to organize their free time and the rest of their lives.
I look forward to explaining to young ladies why I no longer provide tables at the street fair or that they really don't need to worry if my shutters aren't up by 8am.
The ideology behind such a project is certainly not bourgeois!
bigotry
You have to keep reminding people of this. The EU is not a federal state!
Even though this was initially desired by the vast majority (including relevant surveys among mayors and citizens), and most democratic parties had also made it their mission or included it in their basic programs.
The EU today is at best something in between, neither fish nor meat. And when further changes are emerging, no one can say whether this will lead to the originally intended federal solution or even back to the confederation of states or even further back to the nation states. It's funny that many of these proud national states can only show district qualities at most.
And every citizen needs to know that!
Because very many of our politicians and even more journalists repeatedly demand very eloquently from the EU state services and safeguards, which the EU is not able to provide, neither for legal nor for factual reasons, even to the extent of being able to.
Migration, pandemic, defence, global warming, the welfare state are just some of the things that an EU cannot do! And this because for decades all our politicians have been preventing the EU from becoming the necessary federal state and thus also being able to guarantee this for all Union citizens.
So, as soon as they halfway recognize their own failure, all politicians cry out for the EU — currently the anti-democratic and anti-European Polish government!
Now, in addition to the billions in subsidies to feed the Polish population, the EU is also supposed to take over the last Polish state tasks, such as border protection.
Exactly this "NAZI-EU", which otherwise only torments, abuses, disenfranchises and degrades Poland to the eternal victim nation.
But here, too, it is a matter of state that everything good comes from the German national state and everything bad is forced on us by the EU. We Germans can and do everything on our own and much better than the rest of the world — unless migrants come or we have to feed through the Soviet Zone, then we are the greatest Europeans who remind the others of their obligations.
The really funny thing is that it's already Otto von Bismarck, to whom we want to erect new monuments today, was immensely amused about it - and he didn't even know today's excesses!
And so it must be made absolutely clear to citizens that if they expect up-to-date and sustainable solutions from politicians, we need a European federal state!
The fact that far too many politicians have made themselves very comfortable in this in-between thing should not deter us citizens, because our lives and the future of our children are at stake.
