Stuttgart

After I couldn't wait for it to happen in Heilbronn on the occasion of the Europe day there is a corresponding flag, I made my day in Stuttgart even better. And the best way to do that was through two nice events, each combined with an award ceremony. The first award ceremony took place on the occasion of the Speech for Europe! and the second honored this year's euRobi award winners.

The whole thing was crowned with a summer reception of the European associations in the beautiful ambience of the New Palace. I was also very pleased that other European federalists from Heilbronn took part in the summer reception, so there were seven of us from Heilbronn and we were happy to end the day with like-minded people.

I was even happier when I received the request from Ursula Hecht received whether she could write a report about it for the EUROPA-UNION website.

Frankfurt

I should actually be getting a taste of airport air right now, but unfortunately we live in times that are simply not as tolerant, cosmopolitan and uncomplicated as I was used to when I was young or when I was working. More and more regulations determine our lives and make it more and more difficult for active people to maintain their own freedom.

Some of my readers will certainly reply that I can hear the grass growing again, but our freedoms are disappearing little by little - and always with very plausible reasons and always for the good of all. The principle behind it comes from the kitchen, like slowly but surely increasing the temperature of lobsters so that they don't jump out of the saucepan.

Anyone who still demands personal responsibility and consequences today is at least viewed as a weird bird. And at the latest when you have stopped private transport — purely for environmental reasons (!) of course — you will also need a “pass” if you want to walk more than 3 kilometers, but only to “protect yourself” from the “ Lost” to be protected.

Just as we won't be able to make any financial transactions anytime soon without at least checking and approving them — almost in real time.

And public writing is also becoming more and more difficult, but at least the corresponding range is becoming more and more limited — the days when you could access all Internet content without problems, as long as you only knew the corresponding address or used different search engines, are already back History, not only in countries like China or the Russian Federation.

Freie Wähler

I was very happy that my assessment of the recent general meeting of the Free Voters not only from Herbert Burkhardt was shared, but now also by Heiner Dorner. I know both of them as pugnacious personalities and what I particularly appreciate about them is that they are not afraid to address problems and challenges openly.

So writes Heiner Dorner quite rightly in a statement: "I am more than dismayed by these events. ... The citizens will not understand this process.”

And the people who have meanwhile left the association, contrary to their own statements to the members present at the time, are now making allegations that I had always suspected as intentional from these people - you can probably be wrong. In any case, it is further confirmation that at least I have been completely lied to in recent years and are still unwilling to account for the true motives for this malicious staging.

Herbert Burkhardt writes today in the Heilbronner Voice (May 10.5.2022, 28: XNUMX): "To claim that we [Freie Wahler Heilbronn] would become a party is far-fetched and a lie."

I, too, am quarrelsome and have now opened a forum in this regard: Free voters

statement of the day

Lee Wong from Ohio answers the question of whether he is actually a patriot.

Soldiers have to put up with this question more and more often. The exciting thing is, for the most part, from precisely those fellow citizens who have never made outstanding contributions to their country.

birthday of the day

Fred Astaire
